Protective thimble bushing that reinforces the hinge pin mounting hole in your freezer door liner. Replace if worn, cracked, or missing to stabilize hardware.
Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. The most irritating part was figuring out what parts to order. The drawing of the refrigerator door (Drawing # 4) used to figure out what parts to order was not clear. I paid $8... Read more

This is a small white plastic plug that fills the hinge sleeve hole on a refrigerator or freezer door. This is a replacement screw designed to work with a wide range of household appliances. It is used for many purposes in these appliances, from holding body panels together to securing electronics into control boards. However, screws are subject to damage through corrosion, impact, and improper installation/removal. In most cases, the primary damage to this screw is through corrosion – it may become rusted or corroded in place, depending on the appliance and the maintenance provided during its lifespan. The screw may also be stripped or rounded due to improper removal or installation. If the screw is damaged, lost, or corroded in place, it will need to be replaced. In most cases, removal will require nothing more than a Phillips head screwdriver or the appropriately sized socket with a ratchet. However, if the screw is damaged, it may require a tap set to remove it from its mounting location. Note that this is a genuine OEM replacement screw made from durable, high-quality metal, and is sold individually. It fits Whirlpool, Maytag, Roper, Estate, Amana, Crosley, and Thermador appliances. It is used in over 150 machines, ranging from washers and dryers to air conditioners.

I'm way too lazy to go to a store and look at a gigantic wall of light bulbs. So I poured a glass of wine, googled the make and model of my refrigerator followed by "lightbulb" and this bulb came up. If you're tracking the full length of this project you'll be interested to note that I held up the bulb for roughly 3 seconds to conclude it was the right one. *don't drink too much wine before this part. I counted the bulbs in my fridge/freezer (also do this before too much wine) and decided I... Read more
