This is a small white plastic plug that fills the hinge sleeve hole on a refrigerator or freezer door. It covers unused hinge mounting holes to provide a clean, finished appearance, especially after reversing the door swing. I suspected the start-relay and tested it due to the lint plugged condenser coils. The start-relay rattled when shook, a telling sign it is no good due to over heating.
