The part just snaps on the basket. You have to remove the clips on the end of the runner arms to be able to remove the basket. Once it was out the old arm snap off and you snap on the new arm. Only problem was my old arm was fine and I wished the company would just sell the gasket. It seems a waste to have to purchase the whole arm. Replaced latch assy. It was really easy, 8 screws on door and 2 screws on latch assy. Took off old one and put new one on. Plug into dishwasher and completed in less than 5 minutes.
