Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. It was one of 3 things basically, motherboard, pressure sensor or fill valve. I tried cleaning the pressure sensor to no avail. I proceeded to replace both the valve and the sensor because the parts were very inexpensive and the cost of a motherboard wasn't worth it. Upon taking the door apart it looked like the leak was coming from the vent so I replaced the vent cap, vent seal and the transition piece. I did not have to change the seals. It took me a while to figure out how to get the door apart, but once I did, it was fairly straightforward. Read more
