This part is a washing machine drive motor and inverter assembly. The function of the drive motor component of this part is to spin the spin basket when the washing machine is running in the washing cycle or the spinning cycle. The inverter component of this part is a board that monitors and controls the motor speed and direction. Allow the washing machine time to cool down before attempting to diagnose any issues or replace any parts. When the drive motor is going bad, the washing machine may not spin. This could result in the clothes being sopping wet and the water not being spun out of them. A multimeter can be used to determine which parts have failed. This part is sold individually and is sourced directly from the manufacturer itself. The drive motor and inverter assembly is compatible with washing machines that are manufactured by GE.

I have a 14 year old GE washing machine that had been making a lot of noise while running but had eventually just stopped flat. The agitator and spin cycle would not run. I found this site and made excellent use of all the repair videos to study about my issue. I put in my machine model number and I Immediately was able to start honing in on what my problem could be from website advice about popular repair parts, stories others had shared about their similar machine issues and watching videos,... This locking clip secures a mating part—often a control knob—onto its shaft on select laundry appliances. Replacing a worn or missing clip restores a tight fit so controls stay in place and operate as intended during use.
Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. As this fix is near a complete tear-down of the washing machine, here are a few tips I discovered. 1) the hub nut is difficult to remove and you need a... Read more

The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Parts cost around... Read more

This tub assembly replaces a cracked or leaking wash tub to restore proper water containment and drum support for your washer, helping reduce leaks, rubbing noises, and abnormal vibration during cycles. What it does:
I ordered a new mode selector and new tub bearing. Upon disassembly, I noticed that the plastic outer tub had actually heated up around the tub bearing and tub seal area, such that the new tub seal did not fit tightly. I ordered a replacement outer tub, and reassembled all the new parts. During assembly, I installed the new tub seal upside down, but recognized it while re-watching the how-to video. I pulled the assembly back off and flipped the seal over, then reassembled it again. I also put... Read more

Thanks to your video's really helped. I now know how to completely break my washer down. Actually these parts are the only parts I haven't change out, besides the motor. Your computer system is wrong on the belt. I still haven't received the correct belt I have talked to 3 different tech. They keep saying I am wrong. I am not a dummy. I do know the belt ya shipped is TO SHORT. It doesn't even go around the pulley much less reach the motor. I am lucky for right now my belt is still in good... Read more
