The front wheel assembly replacement (WRXO2X12454) was straightforward and easy to do. Took maybe 30 minutes start to finish. The rear wheel assembly (wheel WRO2X10695 and axle WRO1X10604) that was more involved as the original wheel axle is actually a rivet that you have to cut out. 1. I used a vibrating multitool with a carbide blade to cut the axle out. Had to use a pair of vise grips to hold the rivet to keep it from spinning while cutting it. 2. First I ordered a new ice door seal, spring, and crank, figuring the condensation in freezer and door was caused by ice door not sealing. Turns out the solenoid for the ice door was completely rusted and was the primary cause, if it had been replaced early, it would have saved the dispenser board. What then happened was the moisture in the freezer door damaged the control board rendering dispenser controls inoperative as well as the heater around the dispenser. Swapped it out for new tube. Take 5 minutes and zero effort. The drain tube will clog with mold. You can clean it out but the tube will clog again despite's you best efforts as the tube wall provide a great habitat. Ordered new tubes to facilitate swap-outs. Old tubes can be cleaned but will recolonize quickly. Read more
I ordered the heater unit from your website as well as a new evaporator panel gasket and thermostat. Once I removed the evaporator panel from the rear wall of the freezer side, I used a steamer machine I had to melt all the ice which had accumulated, I replaced the faulty heater unit and all is well. Replacing the roller assembly corrected the problem. The key to replacing the roller assembly is elevating the refrigerator high enough to remove the roller assembly. Called Appliance Repair Company , , service guy came out, told me that GE no longer makes that hinge and GE would need to recast would take 4 weeks plus and cost $ 100.00 plus installation, they never showed up. After a month, I purchased from Appliance parts Pros, found easy to read plan of door showing the hinge I needed, Bought the hinge and had it in the mail within a week, installed in 10 minutes, done, Thanks Appliance Parts Pros, my refrigerator is up and running again.
