After chatting with an appliance parts pro person, I was able to narrow down which parts I needed to buy. I ended up replacing the water inlet valve, the cold water reservoir and a drain tube. I have never really repaired anything like this before, but as a recent widow, I knew I needed to learn. Appliance Parts Pros made it super simple with their videos. It took me quite a bit longer than the people in the videos, but that was just because I rewatched sections of the videos several times to... Read more

Was an easy swap. Ordered the pieces, got them withing two days. Didn't realize a hair dryer would melt so much of the plastic pieces that I couldn't even see while trying to defrost the water line in the door. Next time it happens I will just empty the freezer and leave the door open for a few hours. Will save me from making this mistake again. Thankfully easy to replace the parts myself and not too expensive. Read more

First I ordered a new ice door seal, spring, and crank, figuring the condensation in freezer and door was caused by ice door not sealing. Turns out the solenoid for the ice door was completely rusted and was the primary cause, if it had been replaced early, it would have saved the dispenser board. What then happened was the moisture in the freezer door damaged the control board rendering dispenser controls inoperative as well as the heater around the dispenser. Now the freezer door is dripping... Read more

The front wheel assembly replacement (WRXO2X12454) was straightforward and easy to do. Took maybe 30 minutes start to finish. The rear wheel assembly (wheel WRO2X10695 and axle WRO1X10604) that was more involved as the original wheel axle is actually a rivet that you have to cut out. 1. I used a vibrating multitool with a carbide blade to cut the axle out. Had to use a pair of vise grips to hold the rivet to keep it from spinning while cutting it. 2. The new axle I drilled a 2mm hole thru the... Read more
