My nine year old said the following to me while I was looking for a tool to complete the task. "mom do you remember a couple of months ago when you and daddy were trying to fix something? You went to the store and bought tools and you ended up calling repairman to fix it? That's their job, mom. Repairmen fix stuff. You are not a repairman" I fixed this my self in just over a hour. Take that! Read more

Also suggested to order vent gasket WP8269259.
First tried replacing the seal around the door as that was the simple and most logical fix. Still leaked. Removed the front and upper panel to inspect. Found calcium deposit running down from under the Air Vent Assembly and wet behind the black stick-on insulation. Easy to trace the leak to the bottom of the door. => Ordered new Air Vent Assembly, gasket and Vent Deflector. Parts arrived. Took 5 minutes to remove upper panel. Removed the two wires from the Air Vent Assembly. Inserted a... Read more
This is the lower spray arm assembly that sits at the bottom of the dishwasher tub and rotates during the wash cycle to spray water onto dishes. It distributes pressurized water through small nozzle holes to clean the items on the lower rack. Replace this arm if dishes on the bottom rack are not getting clean, if the spray holes are clogged or damaged, or if the arm is cracked and no longer spins freely.

This vent assembly allows hot, moist air to escape from the dishwasher tub during the drying cycle, helping dishes dry efficiently. It is typically located on the inner door panel and may include a duct and flap mechanism. Replace this assembly if dishes remain wet after the drying cycle, if you notice moisture or steam leaking from around the door, or if the vent flap is stuck or damaged.
Replaced Air Vent (+gasket). (Based on some googled descriptions of how.) Took out several screws in the vicinity of the vent on upper left of door. These are specialized torx screw heads. Released inner panel enough for air vent to slide out. It is held to the panel by the louvered round cover. Twist the cover to the left to remove it and the Air Vent comes loose. I tested the resistance of the old Air Vent and found it to be ~18 ohms. I had found on one site that it should be between 6 and... Read more

Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area. Read more
