Seals the water inlet connection to prevent leaks where water enters the dishwasher tub. Replace if you notice moisture damage or leaking at the valve inlet.
Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to... Read more

Color: Black. Screw for lower toe panel. For Biscuit screw use 3400865, for white screw use WP3400836.
I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts. Took about 90 minutes but the hardest part was removing other items from the rusting frame without... Read more

Leaking from the bottom or center of your dishwasher? The sump housing with included shaft seal often fixes this issue. DIY-friendly with video guide.
DIY, changed motor and sump. Put a dab of valve lubricant on seal. Wet outer seal of sump to get it to seat in bottom of tub. Cleaned electrical connectors corroded by leak. Coated connectors with dielectric grease. Had to buy additional clamp. Two clamps came in the sump package but both fit the smaller hose only. Neither fit the large hose. I wish the correct clamps were included. Home improvement store clamp is a little too wide to fit between ridges in large hose. Read more

Dishwasher won't start or door won't close? The door latch strike creates a secure catch point for proper door latching. Easy DIY repair.
Had three issues, this fixed two. The latch wasn't sometimes failing during the wash cycle and the dishwasher door was coming open slightly which was fixed. Also fixed broken adjuster that I had rigged with a zip tie temporarily. Didn't fix it having issues closing, but ordered an additional part to fix. Took a lot of time to figure out the close issue, so my repair took longer than expected. There was an additional damaged part I hadn't identified. Read more

Fixes loose panels, rattling doors, or wobbly components caused by stripped or missing screws. Secures brackets, covers, and mounting hardware. Easy DIY.
Maytag Dishwasher (about 5 years old). Some of the buttons had stopped functioning. Then the Start button began choosing whether or not to work. Eventually it would not start at all. Upon removing the control panel, the first thing I noticed was that the brackets that hold the two lower screws were broken. (So this was the reason that the door was so hard to open from the time it was new.) I trouble shot the thermal fuse, the door-latch switches, and inspected the control board trying to find... I ordered new seals from AppliancePartsPros.com. Finding the right seals was very easy, all based on model number of the appliance. While looking my unit over for other signs of wear, I noticed that a repair done by the prior homeowner to the lower wash arm was done improperly: a seal there was set protruding from the cover, the cover was missing screws, and the arm was missing the upper bushing. So I ordered a new seal, the missing screws, and both the top and bottom bushings (just to be... Read more
