Patrick R Peachtree City , GA November 15, 2014 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDS25SHBS1 Leaking around dishwasher door previous repair missing parts I ordered new seals from AppliancePartsPros.com. Finding the right seals was very easy, all based on model number of the appliance. While looking my unit over for other signs of wear, I noticed that a repair done by the prior homeowner to the lower wash arm was done improperly: a seal there was set protruding from the cover, the cover was missing screws, and the arm was missing the upper bushing. So I ordered a new seal, the missing screws, and both the top and bottom bushings (just to be safe). Parts arrived THE NEXT DAY. Superb! Repaired everything in about 15 minutes. Everything fit perfectly. No more leak. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Michael K Oakland , MI July 11, 2019 My dishwasher was leaking out copious amounts of water while cycling While at my sister's house, she showed me how to access & dismantle the housing unit on her dishwasher, thinking the issue might be from that area. So, when I came home, I opened up my housing unit and found that several of the screws had come out and the pump outlet seal was stretched out and partially outside of the unit itself. I located all of the missing screws & discovered I was still missing one, which my husband helped me order with the pump outlet seal. I easily replaced the old seal with the new one and replaced all of the screws. I was pleased as punch that it works like a charm, that we saved lots of money on a repair call, and that I was able to do it easily! Stephen F Westfield , MA March 05, 2017 Appliance: Whirlpool Dishwasher DU1000CGZ1 Whirlpool dishwasher dishes not clean after wash cycle Upon investigation, the rubber seal under the pump outlet went out. There was also a crack in the pump outlet and one screw missing. Water was leaking there causing no water pressure to the spray arm . I ordered a new pump outlet which came with the seal and replaced them. Easy replacement just removed eight torx screws, replace the parts. Tighten the eight screws carefully using an opposing tightening pattern like you would with a car wheel. Read More... Donald C Randolph , ME May 05, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher DU1055XTPB4 Dishwasher was not washing correctly and seal was leaking First I took apart the internal parts to find a variety of objects in the sump part going to the chopper blade. I removed and vacuumed out the area with my wet/dry vac. and removed the chopper assembly ( when I went to reinstall the chopper assembly the plastic ring around the inner hole crumbled away and stopped me from finishing the cleaning. I ordered a new chopper assembly and a impeller and seal kit ( the seal was just starting to leak) and when I received my parts, I installed them with no issue and the impeller was quiet simple to replace and before reinstalling the motor I cleaned the inner screen. ( only wish the original chopper assembly did not fall apart). I also found that the water level was not correct after the first wash. I ordered a new inlet valve to fix that problem (still waiting on that to arrive). I found with all appliances, they are simple to work on, you just need to know what is causing the problem and youtube.com helps a lot. Read More...
