Being a complete DIY I hate to call some unknown person into my home knowing that just to get them there will cost me more than I will spend for parts that I don't need. After all, they are trying to make a living and by selling me parts that I don't need will increase their profits. I've dealt with APP before and was impressed by their site because I could find both mechanical and electrical drawings for almost everything I have. I looked up my dryer, decided what was probably the problem,... Read more
Replaced the ignitor glow bar and deflector oven (which had a hole burned through it). Screws stripped upon disassembly of original deflector oven and needed to be replaced as well. Read more
The previous tenant in my daughter's new apartment apparently had a grease fire of sorts in the GE XL44 gas oven. This left the insulating double glass panes so fouled up that one could not see into the oven. I removed the oven door (just lifts off the hinges) and proceeded to disassemble the door so as to get to the glass panes. It did have the inner frame and although the model number ordered was the same, the inner frame was incorrect. I took it apart and used the original. I could have purchased 1 piece of tempered 1/4 thick "rectangle glass for 1/2 the cost. The job is done, took about 20 mins and we "live and learn" on replacement parts. Read more
This metal bracket provides structural support for your range top, keeping it level and stable during cooking. It prevents sagging and maintains proper alignment of burners and cooking surfaces. Replace this part if your range top is sagging, uneven, or wobbles when pressure is applied.
My 12 year-old cooktop was rusted through in a couple of key places, but the rest of my range was in terrific shape, so I decided to order a replacement cooktop. The perfect part arrived quickly. When I took a closer look at the few connecting parts I thought I was going to pirate off the old cooktop, I saw some were rusty, particularly the two Guide Slides and one screw. I needed to buy a set of star drivers, too, as a #10 was needed. I put a little WD40 on the parts I had to remove when I... Read more
