Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. I ordered a new igniter based on serial numbers. Maytag manufacturers Jen Air so it wasn't hard to order a replacement. Taking everything apart was straight forward. The connection on the new part was different from the old part so I cut the old connection and spliced it on the new part, make sure you use the insulating wrap from the old part on the new spliced connection to protect it. Could not find info anywhere to fix it Pulled out the stove seen a side panel of sorts undid the trim remove side panel switch was right there 15 min tops and everything was working again. I had to remove the oven door, which I learned is made to come off without tools. Then took out the bottom by removing two screws and lifting. Removed the screws attaching the igniter, pulled wires thru back until I could get the connector and disconnect. When the new igniter arrived, I had to change the connector. I cut the one off the old one, and spliced to the new one using solder and shrink tubing. Just reverse the procedure to install. I replaced the screws with new ones. Read more
