Let there be light! Easy change out and what a difference light makes! I had waited so long I got used to the fridge having only the top light and after changing out the bulbs -- well it is so good to see what is in the back of the fridge again! Just remove the plastic protector, easy as pie to do, and unscrew the bulbs and replace them! Read more

• Leaking

Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. Since the refriigerator is still in the middle of the kitchen, I don't need to tear apart another room. Nevertheless, let me say this, I love my "older"... Read more

Replaced motor, fan and lock-nut. My repair was on a built in Refrigerator-Freezer so most of the time was spent on pulling out and putting back the unit to get to the area I needed to behind the upper top. Read more

Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part. Read more

I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Cleaned everything up and put the whole unit back together. The motor looked like it was somewhat cooked but still worked, so I ordered a new motor and auger to replace it. I simply removed and replaced the bake element and light bulb. The only difficulty I had was working around the open oven door. I relied on the Appliance Parts Pros videos for procedures on how to do this safely and correctly. I would not have attempted this repair without the videos.
