The Rear Door Support is an OEM replacement part for GE ranges. Located at the base of the range, this bracket provides weight-bearing support for the lower oven drawer. It facilitates smooth extension and retraction of the drawer. Causes of faulty support can include cracks or fractures developing over extended use, worn joints unable to sustain drawer weight, or misalignment from repeated opening/closing stress. So, in the process of a kitchen remodel my GC managed to lose *both* of the rear plastic supports for my GE stove! The drawer was totally unsupported without the brackets. I managed to find them on your site and see that they were a new and better design (rear mount with screw vs side mount and no firm mounting). The install was a snap and the brackets work excellent. Move stove to unplug, remove rear center panel, indentify the two spade connectors that feed the heating element and remove (unplug) them. Remove two screws that hold the element to the inside rear wall of the stove and remove element.
