This control cooling fan assembly circulates air through the oven's control compartment to remove heat. By keeping the console and electronics cool during and after cooking, it helps prevent overheating and protects sensitive components.
The F9 error code is supposed to indicate that the door lock mechanism has failed. My oven would give the F9 code and turn off during normal baking at 400 F after about 30-40 minutes. It turns out that GE must have programmed the error codes incorrectly in my model, because the real problem was that my control board cooling fan was no longer functional, and one of the two thermal switches was shutting off the unit when the control board area got too hot. This is a genuine OEM replacement nut that is used on convection oven fans. This nut holds the fan onto the spindle. If the nut becomes lost during repairs to the fan, it will need to be replaced before the fan will work. This nut locks the fan to the spindle to turn and move the air around inside the oven. The fan helps the food to cook more evenly and reduces areas in the oven that are not cool enough or hot enough. If the fan is not working, the convection oven will not cook correctly.Convection ovens are different from regular ovens, and the fan is part of the reason. Convection ovens use the fan and an exhaust system to move the heat around inside the oven to cook food more evenly and faster. Many convection ovens have a setting that allows the oven to be used as a regular oven. If the nut is missing and the fan is inoperable, the oven can be used for regular cooking if it has this feature. Otherwise, the convection oven should not be used until the nut is replaced. This nut is a silver metal replacement part that is sold individually. It is designed for use in convection ovens made by GE and Kenmore.
I took the cover off and the fan had separated from the bushing. Ordered a new fan and nut and it took all of 5 minutes to replace. Probably saved $159.99 service call repair and that is with a coupon. Any one can do this repair, just make sure the oven is cold as you will come in contact with metal parts. Read more
This is a high-amp SPDT (single pole, double throw) switch used in the oven door mechanism. It detects whether the oven door is open or closed and signals the control to enable or disable certain functions such as the oven light or broil element. Replace this switch if the oven light does not turn on or off when the door is opened or closed, or if the oven does not operate correctly in relation to door position.
Replaced faulty latch with new latch. New latch was different configuration, but the fit was okay. The only issue was that the wires to the electric motor were just barely long enough. Overall easy repair if you have a T15 Torx bit, phillips screwdriver, and 1/4" nut driver. Hardest part is removing the gas cooktop to gain access to the cleaning latch. 0. Turn off electric to stove; remove the cast iron grates, center caps/orifices, and catch pans from the stovetop. 1. Disconnect the... Read more

This is a replacement screw that can be used with many different types of household appliances. Screws fasten various pieces of machines together. They can also help to reduce the amount of vibration in the machine. If a screw is missing or damaged, it could cause a machine to stop working properly, or to vibrate more than it should. The screws are made from metal and will typically last for a long time. However, the threads and other parts of the screw can wear down with use. The screws could also become lost when making other repairs to the appliance. Replacement of the screws is generally easy, but it will depend on where it is placed. This item can replace certain screws found in various models of ranges, ovens, dryers, and microwaves from General Electric, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, and Kenmore. This is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. Owners may want to have several replacements on hand in case they need them.

Replaces the false bottom panel that covers the lower oven interior. Needed when the original is discolored, warped, burnt, or damaged beyond cleaning.
Replaced it with a new one. Had to remove the oven door which was straight forward. The door's a little heavy so be sure to get a good hold and have a place prepared to set the door while you replace the bottom. False bottom simply slides in and out. Reinstalling the door is a little trickier than removing it. Mine was the bottom oven so I couldn't see the hinges align with oven slots. It helped to have some guide the hinges into the slots and confirm they were correctly set. Read more

I did some research on my own and then spoke with the “Pros” at Appliance Parts Pros. Both confirmed the main board needed to be changed. The other less likely item was the oven sensor. I changed the sensor first as it was inexpensive. The error codes continued. Subsequently, I then changed the main board which was slightly difficult. When changing 2 screws hold the board in place on each front corner only. Also suggest you take a picture of wiring. I replaced wiring in place from old board to... Read more
