This outer oven door glass replaces the exterior glass panel on your oven door to restore a clean appearance and help contain heat. It installs into the door outer frame and provides the finished outer surface for the door. What it does:

1) Opened package, 2) unwrapped end-caps, 3) broke off guide pieces with pliers, 4) inserted caps in both end of handle, 4) unscrewed 6 Phillip screws to remove oven-door fascia, 4) unscrewed two end-cap retainer bolts with nut driver to release remnants of broken end-caps, 5) re-inserted bolts back through the oven door engaging the new end-caps on each end, 6) tightened bolts while begging the new end-caps not to break, 7) positioned fascia back over the oven door, 8) restored the 6 screws to... I always save original books and assembly sheets for appliances. That helped a lot ! The assembly sheets showed how the ovens went in, how they were attached to the cabinet and what to avoid so I didn’t bend trim piece. NOTICE: Part has been redesigned. Wire terminals are no longer straight off the the back they are from the side. Depending on your model you may have to make changes to make it fit.
Replaced oven lamp holder. Easy job. Took 10 minutes. Shut breaker to stove off. Removed 2 screws. Removed old lamp holder.
