1. Cut the power/unplug 2. Loose 2 screws and take out the lamp holder. 3. There are 2 cables connected to the holder. Unclip them (Don't worry, they're in a different size. You can not attach them to wrong connectors) 4. Clip the cables to the holder (One is slightly smaller and fits a slightly smaller connector) 5. Push back the holder to original place and screw (You'll use existing screws. No replacement in the box) 6. Turn on the power/plug-in 7. Let there be light! Read more
10-32 machine screw secures panels, brackets, door hinges, and handles in ovens and ranges. Replace missing, stripped, or broken screws for tight fit.
All of the information on the web repair sites said "replace the hinges as the springs are worn out." Didn't fix the problem. The top of the door still wouldn't seal, and the. Leaning latch wouldn't catch the door unless you pressed on the door. The inside panel of the door was fatigued. Too many turkeys were set on the door over the years. The hinges are attached to that inside panel, so the stress points were bent over time. I replaced the inside steel panel. Took about an hour. Was able... Read more
Fix a noisy or non-working convection fan with this motor assembly. Restores even heating and airflow in your oven. Takes about 30 minutes to install.
Very easy fix. Turned of power at breaker. Removed oven door by lowering two "keepers" on the hinges for the oven door and sliding the door out of the oven. Removed the trim plate at bottom of oven by pushing it up.. Removed 2 screws that mount to the frame of the cabinet at the bottom that the trim plate hangs from. This control cooling fan assembly circulates air through the oven's control compartment to remove heat. By keeping the console and electronics cool during and after cooking, it helps prevent overheating and protects sensitive components.
The F9 error code is supposed to indicate that the door lock mechanism has failed. My oven would give the F9 code and turn off during normal baking at 400 F after about 30-40 minutes. It turns out that GE must have programmed the error codes incorrectly in my model, because the real problem was that my control board cooling fan was no longer functional, and one of the two thermal switches was shutting off the unit when the control board area got too hot. Microwave not heating but runs? Replace the magnetron to restore cooking power. Intermediate DIY repair taking 1-2 hours with proper safety steps.
I ordered the capacitor, diode, and magnetron in hopes that I would be able to complete the repair using the less expensive parts. I first removed the oven from the wall and then I removed the metal housing to access the internal parts. I discharged the capacitor using a pair of insulated needle nose pliers. Then I changed out the diode and the capacitor and reassembled the unit and tested it. It still did not heat so I disassembled the unit again and replaced the magnetron this time.... Read more

I ordered the part and was impressed to receive it within two day! I didn't need the screws I ordered (which I ordered just in case) but the trim was put on with no problem and my oven looks brand new again! Thank you! Read more
This is a replacement screw that can be used with many different types of household appliances. Screws fasten various pieces of machines together. They can also help to reduce the amount of vibration in the machine. If a screw is missing or damaged, it could cause a machine to stop working properly, or to vibrate more than it should. The screws are made from metal and will typically last for a long time. However, the threads and other parts of the screw can wear down with use. The screws could also become lost when making other repairs to the appliance. Replacement of the screws is generally easy, but it will depend on where it is placed. This item can replace certain screws found in various models of ranges, ovens, dryers, and microwaves from General Electric, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, and Kenmore. This is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. Owners may want to have several replacements on hand in case they need them.

I did some research on my own and then spoke with the “Pros” at Appliance Parts Pros. Both confirmed the main board needed to be changed. The other less likely item was the oven sensor. I changed the sensor first as it was inexpensive. The error codes continued. Subsequently, I then changed the main board which was slightly difficult. When changing 2 screws hold the board in place on each front corner only. Also suggest you take a picture of wiring. I replaced wiring in place from old board to... Read more
