Followed the instructions to remove covers to machine. Found water a the back of the washer at the floor where the water valve/vacuum break is located. Ordered parts, replaced the parts and no water leak. The KitchenAid Washer and Dryer is 28 yeasrs old. We replaced the lid hinges with new bushings as this is a very old machine and they were worn out affecting the position of the hinges and thereby affecting the lid switch.
