Funny, my husband did it. We have a service contract but you know how long that still takes. So he found the part at the bottom of the dishwasher and it had a number on it. Dishwasher needed to be disconnected from power and water supplies, removed from the cabinet and placed on it's back to gain free access to the underside of the unit. The motor-pump unit removed ( just three screws and two wire connections ). Once the motor unit is removed, the filter-pump part 'rests' on the end of this unit and just lifts off. Replaced entire pump & motor assembly. Before doing the repair, I also noticed that the fill hose was crimped. This dishwasher has never filled with quite enough water, so that's why! Replaced the water inlet valve just to be sure. Dishwasher is running better than ever! Read more

Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue. We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed. I tend to believe the solve could be different b/c all these things work together. But for us, we were skeptical that the hinge swap would work and we were very pleasantly surprised. Read more
