Oven display began flickering, then fading to completely black, but still functioned for some time. When oven was on broil or high heat for too long the display would flicker back on, and enter commands on its own. When I ordered the correct part from Appliance Parts Pro and, here's the big takeaway, I watched the accompanying video. With this repair there were 4 connectors coming thru 2 openings of the rear oven wall. In the video it advised to tie a twist tie around each so they couldn't slip back into the rear panel. If they did it would have required pulling the oven out, removing the back and guiding the connectors back thru the rear wall openings. TWIST TIES...Wise words!!!! Did as instructed and... Read more

The hidden bake element accessed from the side of the oven was clearly done...not only did it not test for continuity, but when I removed it, there was a clean break where it had failed. Of course I replaced that first. Though my thermal cutoff tested fine for continuity, the element still wouldn't heat when I initiated bake.
