The mullion rail is the vertical divider strip that separates the fresh food and freezer compartments in side-by-side refrigerators, often housing the water and ice dispenser controls. This part needs replacement if you notice cracks in the plastic, damaged dispenser components, or poor sealing between compartments that affects temperature control.
