Removed the handle with two screws on the inside front and pulled out the custom wood panel. Pulled the compactor out from under cabinet. Tipped it over on back of unit, supporting it with a little foot stool. Unscrewed two lower screws at bottom of unit holding black trim panel (that held wood panel in place) and lower black rubber flap. Watched the video on how to replace. Ordered new roller, which was delivered in just a couple of days. Since the roller had broke, I was unable to roll out the refrigerator, so I tilted the refrigerator back and placed a small furniture slider under the roller frame to prevent gouging the wood floor. Then it was easy to slide out the refrigerator and replaced the roller as explained on the video. I had ordered a pin and bolt, just in case I would need to replace, but didn't need them. ... After running some tests I determined that the problem was a bad defrost timer. The timer would occasionally fail to trigger the compressor to restart at the end of the defrost cycle. Since I had the unit taken apart, I replaced the termination t-stat and the compressor start relay at the same time. Parts came quick 1.5 days, job completed and the unit is up and running. Replaced the ice maker. The kit came with everything I needed to replace the ice maker. Parts that did not come with the kit were re-used from the old one. My Whirlpool refrig/freezer is an older model so the wiring harness that came with the kit was different from my existing. So instead of disconnecting the ice maker wiring harness from the freezer, I had to disconnect the harness at the ice maker. That was a b..... The water dispenser stopped working on my Sears Kenmore (Whirlpool) side-by-side refrigerator and after much research on the web I purchased the parts that commonly failed for this condition. I should have first taken the dispenser assembly apart but I didn't--it looked a little too intimidating to do twice. Did research on line and figured it was valve inlet part. The helpful video you provide made me realize that it was an easy job to complete. Yes it was easy because of the video and the part was exactly what was needed. We saved money by doing it ourselves. So while we were on the order site we ordered the brackets for the front grill. Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). I found several "threads" on my google search which indicated that it might be caused by a non-functional condenser fan. I removed the back bottom panel and voila, the fan was not spinning even though the compressor was running and felt very hot. Easy to remove the metal parts from the old bin. The only problem was that the screw that holds the adapter has red thread locker and screwdriver rounded off the head of the screw. Drilled the screw and heated the screw to loosen the thread locker and used an ease out to remove the screw. Read more

• Light not working

We actually were able to determine that one of the freezer switches was bad and taped it down for about 3 days. The beeping stopped. Our fridge has two freezer switches and one fridge side switch. I ordered all three from these guys. They were cheaper than Whirlpool by about $20 for parts and about $15 for shipping.
