Fix a warm freezer or incorrect fan speed with this evaporator fan motor assembly. DIY-friendly repair requiring basic tools and shelf removal.
16 yr old 42" Kitchenaid Superba KSSP42QKS00 built-in side by side. Freezer not cooling properly (+9 to 18 degrees and refrigerator +32 to +44 degrees). Ran the diag and the evap fan showed code 02 (fan on, but at incorrect speed) all other modules showed code 01 for working properly. So bought the evap fan replacement kit from AppliancePro who as usual had the best price and support. Swapping out the fan was easy: take all the freezer shelves out, take two of the drawer guides out, two... Read more

Replaced door latch and switch. Parts are plastic so you must know what you are doing to avoid breaking new parts. Videos were hard to find for my model - eventually I found a video that addressed a different problem but required disassembly of a washer cabinet similar to mine. I removed the control panel using a putty knife and unplugged the wire to the latch switch. Then I remove 3 screws securing the washer's top panel to the back panel. Using a rubber mallet, I gently knocked the top panel... Read more

Ice won't dispense or comes out slowly? A worn or stripped ice auger is often the culprit. This repair restores smooth dispensing in 30-45 minutes.
Found bad auger motor drive shaft, it was rounded on the end that goes into motor. While I was there I replaced the seal, auger (old one rusty) and coupler. The new auger is stainless steel (I believe and slightly longer) and should not corrode like old white one. If changing auger, make sure you put the assembly back together correctly (take a few pics of the old one and lay it out as taken apart). As always, parts arrived quickly. Read more
