This is an insulating sound shield that attaches to the outside of the dishwasher tub. It dampens noise and vibration during wash and drain cycles, helping to reduce overall operating sound levels. Replace this shield if it has become damaged, detached, or deteriorated, resulting in a noticeably louder dishwasher.

I figured out that it was probably a plugged pump hose, since the pump would run, it somtimes it drained and sometimes it didn't. Your video helped with how to take the dishwasher out and replace the hose. I replaced the hose and everything is now working fine. It turned out to be a broken check valve in the old hose that caused the problem. It took 90 mins to do the repair. Read more

Ordered dishwasher rack tine tips and bottle of vinyl touch up paint. I applied the paint to each tine and then placed the tips on the tines. I waited a few hours before using my dishwasher to allow the paint to dry and allow the tips to stick to the tines. Read more
