This O-ring is a small rubber replacement seal that helps stop water leaks where two components meet. It restores a tight seal to reduce drips and prevent water damage from worn or cracked seals. What it does:
1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage.
