• Will not drain

I've never fixed a major appliance, so I was quite proud to be able to fix our washing machine. My husband likes to hire repairmen for such issues, but I like to avoid the cost if at all possible. I ordered the tub seal and stem seal kits along with the much needed spanner wrench. After viewing the video online several times and taking notes along the way I was ready to tackle the repair. After taking everything apart, I cleaned all areas thoroughly then addressed the rusty areas and mineral deposits found in the tub. Soaking the tub in vinegar and baking soda overnight helped loosen the built up deposits enough so I could carefully scrape them off with a spatula. This was very time... Read more

I first replaced the two drive belts and the motor springs. That didn't fix it although they did need replacing. I then replaced the two bearings and the brake assy. The washer runs like new. If you replace the brake assembly, you should also replace the bearings. It will save a tear down later on. The Maytag repairman wanted $600.00 dollars to do the job. I did it for less than $200.00. I had a lot of problems removing the spin hub, I had to use an air impact wrench to un screw it even then it was very hard, it did not go easy with the hammer & pipe wrench as shown in the video. It was also very hard to remove the bottom spin bearing I had to cut the bearing retainer with a dremel tool so I could get my puller on it. After I struggled to get it apart The repair went very easy, I used brake spring pliers to remove the springs it worked like a charm. I am very pleased with... Read more

First; The part was ordered on Thursday and I received it on Friday! The kit was the correct one and complete with everything needed. (Maytag Atlantis MAV6200AWW – APV4373103 tub seal kit & bearing) Great Service ! I will certainly recommend you guys ! Some of the things I encountered installing the tub-seal on a machine that is 15 years old: Be prepared to do considerable cleaning of the tub cover, tub assy and outer tub. • Shakes and moves

1.) Made sure BOTH Hot & Cold Water Lines turned off to Maytag Washer. (I have dual shut-off valve for those two water lines), 2.) Briefly ran Washer on Warm Water Setting, removing water pressure & remaining water from Hot & Cold water lines. 3.) Unplugged Washing Machine. 4.) Used Needle Nose Pliers to remove BOTH Hot & Cold Water hoses from the hookup on the back of the washer. 3.) Water was not draining on spin cycle. Opened front cover and found belt laying on the floor. After further inspection found motor pulley wheel broken. Ordered pulley and belt kit. Replaced pulley along with pump belt and tub belt. Washer is working again. Read more

Replaced the unbalanced lever assembly - cost about $14. I spent about as much time trying to find the part locally as it took to get the part from appliance pros; I ordered the part at 11:45 am on a Monday and the part was waiting for me by the time I got home from work on Tuesday - thank you. Removed shaft with slide hammer and inspected the yoke and gearing replaced the shaft and seals with the shaft kit and replaced the tub bearing. 32 years and still running strong Maytag yeah!!!! Doubt the newer ones will run as long thanks for having the parts. Read more
