Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. I emailed appliancepartspros.com with what my problem was and they informed me what was wrong they gave me a part number to order, tools needed and a brief explanation how replace the seal. they also have online video's for different repairs. I watched the video for lip seal(part # 207843) replacement.I also had to remove the brake assembly in order to replace the seal so I watched that video also. Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more

The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch. I had to take the cover off of the transmission to see how the shaft was held in place. After discovering there is a plastic clip that holds the shaft in place i ordered the parts. replaced the shaft and the put the new plastic clip in place, made my own gasket and then put the transmission cover back on. easy fix and saved a lot of money. This was a very easy fix. Two screws to get the front off of the washer. Removed one side of the tensioner spring. Loosened two screws for the motor and two screws for the pump. I decided to replace the agitate belt even though it wasn't broken.. So, I removed that belt from the pulleys and the removed the broken belt. then just reversed the process to install the belts. it toke me less than 30 minutes and my washer was back in service.
