I didn't use any tools. I pulled the lower rack out of dishwasher, studied the clip opposite side of tines (still working), and based upon observation, installed replacement part. Removed all the food from the freezer and most from the fridge before starting. Tipped fridge back until I could place a 2 x 4 a couple of inches behind the front rollers.
