The foam was shot on the detergent cup lid. Hard as a rock. Causing caking problems, dribble down the inside wall of the door and leaving lumps of detergent. Cut the door in half wit aviation snips and pulled out the two halves. Discovered at this point that the spring had gone soft. Bought one ahead of time, so I was set. Put the spring on the left pin, put the spring pin in the door, slipped the door into place (open) and put the right pin in with pliers. Door snaps open now. Read more

Ordered a kit with new belt, rollers and idler pulley. Used instructions in kit, YouTube videos and instructions I found under the console of the dryer. Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Since that was a dead end I decided to order the parts, but since it was a holiday weekend coming up, and it was already Wednesday, I hoped to have them on Monday. I ordered the parts at about 2:00 p.m. and was astonished when they arrived the next... Read more

I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Cleaned everything up and put the whole unit back together. The motor looked like it was somewhat cooked but still worked, so I ordered a new motor and auger to replace it. Because this fridge is 24 yrs old, Appliancepartspros... Read more
