The foam was shot on the detergent cup lid. Hard as a rock. Causing caking problems, dribble down the inside wall of the door and leaving lumps of detergent. Cut the door in half wit aviation snips and pulled out the two halves. Discovered at this point that the spring had gone soft. Bought one ahead of time, so I was set. Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part. Read more

I took the motor apart and discovered that the lower bearing ( a sleeve type bearing) was dry and dirty, and was the culprit for the motor seizing. I cleaned up the bearing and lubricated it with SAE 20W. I also packed felt inside the cavity adjacent to the bearing.... Read more

Gray plastic cap that threads onto the center of your dishwasher's lower spray arm assembly. Replaces cracked, broken, or missing caps. Hand-tightens.
I looked in the bottom of the dishwasher and saw that the center piece of the water wheel had somehow come loose. That center piece was lodged under the heating element and was now somewhat beaten and melted. We looked on line for an illustrated parts breakdown and found it on Appliance Parts Pros website. The diagram was so clear and straight forward that it was easy to see the part that we needed and another part (when we looked) we also found missing. Well, 3 days later the parts came in...
