Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). This is a rubber gasket that seals around the door vent opening on a dishwasher, preventing steam and moisture from escaping into areas where they can cause damage. It fits between the vent assembly and the inner door panel. Replace this gasket if you notice moisture or steam leaking from around the vent area, water dripping down the front of the door, or if the gasket appears cracked, warped, or deteriorated.
We had a repair man come and inspect the unit (Independent). He said he would get the part and get back with us. Almost 8 weeks past, with many calls to the service for an update.
