The mounting assembly secures the upper spray arm to the dishwasher ceiling and allows it to rotate during wash cycles. Replace if the upper spray arm wobbles, doesn't rotate, or water pressure seems reduced from the top spray.

Note: New rack no longer includes removable tines or cup shelf. This part is a lower dishrack. The lower dishrack is the lower shelf of a dishwasher that holds plates, bowls, and utensils. To remove the old dishrack, simply pull it out and lift the wheels up from its track. Set it off the side, and lift the new dishrack. Slide it into its track and make sure it is locked in. If it is gliding in and out in a smooth way, it has been installed properly.This genuine replacement OEM part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpool brands include Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand appliances.

Replaced control panel. This is the second replacement due to the same problem with this Maytag dishwasher. The exact cause of the failure is not obvious, but replacing the $130 panel is a quick and easy fix rather than tracking down all the electrical failures in the cable and attempting a permanent fix. The dishwasher performs well otherwise and I believe it has a lot of life left in it. I may well end up replacing the panel again before buying a new unit. Read more
