Retaining clips broken over time Dennis B. • Missoula , MT • December 29, 2014
Ordered and installed clips from AppliancePartsPlus. Only suggestion is a picture of exact INSTALLED location of part. The breakdown ordering picture is great but when it comes to installing parts that have broken and not longer attached, instructions would be helpful.

Control board shorted out during drying cycle with a series of loud popping noises creating a blackened corner of the dishwasher door a pungent electircal fire smell and tripped circuit breaker Charles L. • Concord , MA • November 01, 2014
Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part.

- Helps keep the tub centered to minimize noise and vibration
- Failure symptoms include squeaking or grinding, scraping noises, dragging movement, or visible flat spots/cracks on the wheel
What's included: 1 tub wheel Install notes:
- Disconnect power and water supply before servicing; wear appropriate gloves and eye protection
- Access the base/suspension per the service information and support the tub to remove load from the wheel
- Remove the retainer/axle, install the new wheel, and free rotation and correct orientation
- Reassemble, level the appliance, and run a spin test to check for noise and balance

Spun each of the three wash arms by hand. All could be made to touch/scrape but the top one was super wabbly. Ordered both the arm and clip. Repair took less than a minute. Used a screwdriver to pry loose one side of the old clip to remove. Aligned the new parts and easily snapped into place.

Dishwasher started making a grinding noise Timothy T. • Alpharetta , GA • June 26, 2015
Searched the dishwasher model on ApplianceParts (had used them for a washing machine repair a few years earlier). Was looking for an exploded diagram of the internal parts so I could figure out what might be the problem. There was a video for a motor seal repair kit that seemed to address the bearings which is what I suspected was the culprit. The video started by noting that "you want to replace the motor seal if 1) you have a leak or 2) your dishwasher is making a noise". I watched the...

Erratic behavior of control buttons unit wouldn't go into wash mode Guy L. • Grafton , MA • September 04, 2015
Push buttons are membrane-type. The wiring inside the membrane corrodes over time (and heat and moisture) until it just doesn't work at all. The membrane is integrated with the top plastic panel - not separately replaceable.
Replaced the control panel that's on the top of the door. Easy to fix! Only gotcha is that you have to take off the cover of the control box (inside the door) and slide the locking bar out on the connector for the ribbon cable - the cable doesn't just push in, you have...
