Pulled a video from online and ordered my parts from Appliancepartspros.com. This was the second repair I've done with your help, the last being my washing machine. This latch mechanism secures the fold-down tines in your dishwasher's upper rack. It allows you to fold tines flat for loading large dishes and keeps them locked in position during wash cycles. Replace this part if tines won't stay folded down or pop up unexpectedly during washing.

Control buttons acting erratic or not responding? This dishwasher control panel vent seal blocks moisture and dust that cause button failure. Easy install.
Push buttons are membrane-type. The wiring inside the membrane corrodes over time (and heat and moisture) until it just doesn't work at all. The membrane is integrated with the top plastic panel - not separately replaceable. Replaced the control panel that's on the top of the door. Easy to fix! Only gotcha is that you have to take off the cover of the control box (inside the door) and slide the locking bar out on the connector for the ribbon cable - the cable doesn't just push in, you have... This is the circulation pump motor that drives water through the spray arms during the wash and rinse cycles in a dishwasher. It pressurizes water so it can reach and clean dishes effectively. Replace this motor if the dishwasher fills with water but doesn't spray, makes a humming noise without circulating water, or if dishes are coming out dirty despite proper detergent use.
Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area. Read more

Searched the dishwasher model on ApplianceParts (had used them for a washing machine repair a few years earlier). Was looking for an exploded diagram of the internal parts so I could figure out what might be the problem. There was a video for a motor seal repair kit that seemed to address the bearings which is what I suspected was the culprit. The video started by noting that "you want to replace the motor seal if 1) you have a leak or 2) your dishwasher is making a noise". I watched the... Read more

First of all, I should have taken it apart before I ordered parts. I thought all I needed was the handle and the door latch assembly. Ordered those parts and received them in 2 days. I soon found that there was another issue. The front panel has 2 plastic latches that the handle snaps in to. It also has a plastic stud that the handle screws to. One latch and the stud were broken. Then I ordered just the front panel - the plastic part that has the buttons and led lights. It arrived the next day.... Read more
