This is the main circulation pump motor that pressurizes and circulates water through the spray arms during the wash and rinse cycles. It is mounted beneath the dishwasher tub and drives water through the wash system. Replace this motor if the dishwasher fills with water but does not spray, makes unusual humming or grinding noises during the wash cycle, or leaves dishes dirty.

I bought the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Removed water inlet hose. Removed water outlet hose. Removed water inlet valve which was held on with one screw. Replaced the water inlet value. We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue. We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed. I tend to believe the solve could be different b/c all these things work together. But for us, we were skeptical that the hinge swap would work and we were very pleasantly surprised. Read more
