I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I ended up having to buy a set of socket extensions and a set of stripped bolt sockets so $45 in tools and it took me an hour to get the old bolt out but putting everything back together was a breeze. At first I changed the rollers but that did not fix the problem so I suspected the motor. Purchased the motor then the blower wheel would not come off. The metal sleeve in the middle of the blower wheels was on the motor so tight that the plastic wheel was just spinning on it. Bought a blower wheel and used a hole saw to cut the old wheel off. Luckily, the hole in the fan shroud that the motor shaft goes through is big enough that I was able to slide the motor out with the metal sleeve still on... Read more

I previously ordered the heating element, thermostat, and fuse. Also the rear drum rollers. However, after completing that repair I noticed that the terminal block and power cord had some damage from an apparent overheating while allowing the dryer to continue to run in order to dry the clothes. My son and I took the back panel off the dryer and found that the dryer was full of lint. It was very dirty and probably explains why the dryer had no been working as well. We cleaned the dryer out, took off the old air duct assembly and replaced it with the new one. We also replaced the old dryer hose while we had it pulled out.
