The Drip Pan is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. Located beneath the refrigerator, it collects and holds water that drips from the defrost system, preventing it from leaking onto the floor.
Causes of a bad drip pan can include cracks or holes from physical damage, warping from exposure to temperature fluctuations, or excessive buildup of dirt and mold.

I had my grandson, as he is more agile, replace the Drip Pan. The only real issue was the removing and reinstalling the Fan module. Strongly suggest to view the provided Video a couple of time to save frustration. As not in video, you do not need to remove the water line as the whole back panel will just fold up and out of the way. A 1/4" nut driver is the only tool you need. This defrost heater is mounted near the evaporator coils and generates heat to melt frost buildup during the automatic defrost cycle. It helps maintain proper airflow and cooling efficiency inside the refrigerator. Replace this heater if you notice excessive frost on the evaporator coils, the refrigerator is not cooling properly, or the freezer section is warm.
Total repair took slightly over 1 hour. Would have taken longer had I not already have taken the freezer apart on a previous occasion. This is a small spur gear used in the drawer glide assembly, typically on the left side of a refrigerator or freezer drawer. It meshes with the drawer track mechanism to allow smooth opening and closing. Replace this gear if the drawer is difficult to slide, feels rough or catches when pulled out, or if the original gear teeth are worn or broken.
Replacement icemaker fill tube that directs water from the valve to the ice tray. Replace if cracked, leaking, or causing water to freeze in the freezer.
