This assembly includes the housing and door that enclose the lint screen filter compartment on the top or front of the dryer. It provides access to the lint filter for cleaning and keeps the filter securely in place during operation. Replace this part if the door is cracked, broken, won't stay closed, or if the housing is damaged and no longer holds the lint screen properly.
Open dryer door. Remove four Phillip head screws that hold lint assembly together. Two inside and two on the outside. There is also a hex head screw behind the front panel. To get at it I removed the four hex heads at bottom of front panel and four star head screws on left side of front panel. I was able to get at it by pulling the front panel out as much as possible and and reaching from the side with small quarter inch socket.
