Replaced the water tube that went from the plastic tubing to the ice cube tray. Found that even though it was the same exact length as the original, there was only an extremely small gap from the end of the tube to a splash board. This may have been the root cause of my problems. Read more

• Tray won't turn

I googled the make and model, and found the part on AppliancePartsPros.com. The underside of the oven has a metal grille with numerous openings of various shapes and sizes. There is a rectangle that is punched into this grille, just below the motor. I pried between the vent holes to snap the connections near the perimeter on the punched rectangle. The tray was an easy fix as I looked up Kenmore Microwave and ordered the replacement. The light bulb was a little trickier as to replace it you must have a special screwdriver that has a 5-pointed bit with a hole in the middle. This is because nothing else is safely serviceable on the microwave. I unplugged the microwave and moved it to my kitchen table to do the work. It was a relatively easy fix and the video instructions on this site provided were helpful. The one piece that wasn't clear is the alumilastic was already on the replacement part so a separate tube is not required. That wasn't clear on the video and was an unneeded expense. Read more
