Removed all the food from the freezer and most from the fridge before starting. Tipped fridge back until I could place a 2 x 4 a couple of inches behind the front rollers. With the front of the fridge now approximately 3 to 4" off the ground you can remove the adjusting bolt and the roller assembly can be pulled out of the brackets. Slide out of the notches where that hold it into the bracket. Same to install. Read more

I'm way too lazy to go to a store and look at a gigantic wall of light bulbs. So I poured a glass of wine, googled the make and model of my refrigerator followed by "lightbulb" and this bulb came up. At first, I suspected the evaporator fan motor was going bad, but when I went in to check it out, I found the evaporator coils totally frozen up; the fan was cavitating. I defrosted the coils completely and checked everything out. By process of elimination the Defrost timer had to be the culprit. I unplugged the timer and sure enough, the motor winding was open. Popping the old draw glides off was the toughest part of the job, ad even that was fairly easy, once I noticed the little retaining tabs near the front of the drawer. Pushed in on the tabs, while pushing back on the drawer glide rail and it popped right off. One minor problem I did note: When the rollers were installed on the shoulder screws, they would not turn. One roller just had a burr around the inside edge of the hole. The other the entire bore was a bit undersized, creating a snug fit.... Read more

Removed dead unit, removed bail arm, face cover, and fill tube guide, reinstalled parts on new ice maker. Installed new wiring harness to new ice maker and installed into freezer. Started manufacturing ice within an hour following installation. Read more
