This is the funnel guide and lever assembly located in the dispenser area of the refrigerator door. It directs ice from the internal chute into your glass and includes the lever you press to activate the dispenser. Replace this part if ice scatters or misses the glass during dispensing, the lever is cracked or broken, or the funnel no longer stays properly aligned.

Determined the helix lock was free wheeling on auger helix dispenser not allowing auger to dispense ice properly. Auger also replaced because it had some badly worn areas around the blade assembly. The auger motor failed and wouldn't turn. I replaced the motor and it works without a problem. Make sure you dont throw away the motor boot or buy one if you don't have one. Otherwise, the temperature will freeze up the motor and lead to premature failure. Read more

The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting.
