The receptacle that held the burner element in place was broken so the burner would not make a connection and heat up. I ordered the receptacle kit. There was even an online video that showed how to make the repair. It just took a screwdriver and wire cutters and about 15 minutes and the job was done. The burner works great. Read more

I began by turning off the breaker. I then removed the screws securing the bake element. I immediately noticed only one side was wired and the other side was burned off. The wire for the burned off section had fallen through the hole in the back of the oven. I tried fishing it out to no avail. I removed two side trim screws, the side trim pieces, and two screws holding the built-in oven into the wall. I was able to slide the oven out and onto a square stool that was the correct height. I went to a local stove parts store to find a replacement. The store ordered the element for me and promised that it would arrive the next day. I waited for seven 'working' days,but the part never came. So I went online, and found the part in AppliancePartsPros.com. I have a Whirlpool RBS245PDQ12 wall mount oven. Gathering information from AppliancePartsPros.com resulted in two possibilities: The Thermal Switch or the Control Panel. Talking with Appliance Parts Pros led to testing the Oven Temperature Sensor. It's supposed to test at 1080 Ohms at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Mine tested at 960 Ohms so I knew it was bad... I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. Found a real cool Youtube video by AppliancePartsPro.com. I watched it and learned how easy it was to unhook and replace the part with proper care and precautions. It even included tips on critical steps so the wires won't slip back inside the hole and save you from hours of possible mistake. Then I ordered the part. It came the day after, then I replaced the part, meaning, I DID THE WORK! (My wife was so impressed- lol) Easy as pie... but we made and had a much nicer roast the day after.... Read more

This is for the Whirlpool in-wall double oven GBD307PDS10. No power and the door locked after the shutdown before the self-cleaning cycle was over. This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

I removed the oven door, removed all screws, detached the front from the rear, carefully took out broken glass, replaced with new (smaller sized than original, but worked), reattached front and rear panels, replaced screws, and replaced door to finish. Read more

Ordered the new fan (blower) from AppliancePartsPros. It arrived 3 days later. Pulled the wall oven out of the wall, removed the sheet metal back and removed the noisy fan. Installed the new fan, reinstalled the sheet metal back, shoved it back into it's place, turned the power back on and viola!, much quieter. Read more
