Whenever the drawer was opened, it would fall of the guide rails. This lead to the drawer being crooked several times. I took the drawer out and noticed one of the glides was missing. Ordered a new pair, popped it on and now the drawer slides properly. Read more

I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Replaced the burner switch. While I was in there, I noticed that the indicator light holder had broken off the lens (poor setup) and that one of the wires to the socket was too short so I added a short segment to the wire with insulated crimp connectors and all is well! Read more

The hardest part of this repair was a) realizing that the easiest way to clean the oven door pieces is to remove the whole door and b) figuring out how to put the oven door back on. Doing (b) is infinitely easier if you stick two allen wrenches into the holes in the door hinge, but these holes ONLY appear when the door is fully open. We found a video on how to change out the glass and looked fairly easy. My husband, being the skeptic that he is, wasn't on board as readily as I was but we tried it regardless. Could not level stove. Front leveling legs had pieces broken out where leg contacted floor. Back leveling legs were worn and did not stay at corrected height when stove returned to full weight on floor. Replaced both front and back leveling legs, and stove was able to be leveled. Also bought Touchup Paint for numerous nicks and scratches - color matched perfectly. Read more
