Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. Used the video with the parts and replaced the wheels. The only thing we did wrong was using the front wheel axle instead of the back wheel axle on the back wheels. Replaced shelves. The frig is only 4 years old. I believe the shelves were designed/made incorrectly. I never overloaded the shelves. I called Samsung, obviously, they would admit any wrongdoing. Replacement axle pin for refrigerator front caster wheels. Installs through wheel assembly to secure rolling casters. Needed when bent, broken, or worn.
Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

I bought a replacement ice maker from AppliancePartsPros.com and watched the YouTube video they made on how to install it. Easy - peasy - lemon - squeazy. The only problem encountered was the screw size for a plastic shield that sits on the back of the unit. The original Samsung screws were M18x11 metric round heads. The new part needed screws that were 48 x 3/32" SAE. These screws should be purchased at a hardware store BEFORE installing the new ice maker IF the original screws do not fit.... Read more
This is a small magnet that works with the reed switch sensor to detect whether the refrigerator door or dispenser drawer is open or closed. It triggers the door ajar alarm and controls the interior light. Replace this magnet if the door ajar alarm sounds constantly even when the door is shut, or if the interior light stays on or off regardless of door position.

Unplug all the plugs to the main control board and switched to the new control board. Works perfect thank you. These days you have to do stuff yourself. Everything is getting so expensive. I replaced the temperature sensor, the thermo fuse, and the heating element that thaws the evaporator on a cycle to keep the evaporator from freezing up. The most time consuming part of the repair was waiting for the fridge to thaw out so that I could remove the cover. I thought that I needed to repair the water supply. But it all looked OK. I had turned the power off for a few minutes hoping to clear any false info from the numerous power outages. And with hours of research, I found some info about the door switch on top of the freezer. It suggested placing a magnet above the switch to silence the noise. This did the trick.
