Missing or lost your dispenser drip tray? This replacement tray catches drips and spills from your refrigerator's water dispenser. Easy DIY installation.
This had been going on for several years. Thought it was due to switching to non-Samsung filters as it was very hit and miss whether I could get the dispenser working well after a filter change. Dispenser worked great if I removed the filter. It finally got bad enough that it was obvious the filter was not the issue. This turned out to be a pretty easy part replacement. The water filter and tank assembly is held in place by the shelf above and a T shaped tab below. It just slides forward... Read more

I replaced the temperature sensor, the thermo fuse, and the heating element that thaws the evaporator on a cycle to keep the evaporator from freezing up. The most time consuming part of the repair was waiting for the fridge to thaw out so that I could remove the cover. I disconnected the fridge the night before and placed a fan on low with the doors open so that it was thawed out when I awoke. It was easy to remove the evaporator cover once I removed all of the shelves. I took pics as i was... Read more

I thought that I needed to repair the water supply. But it all looked OK. I had turned the power off for a few minutes hoping to clear any false info from the numerous power outages. And with hours of research, I found some info about the door switch on top of the freezer. It suggested placing a magnet above the switch to silence the noise. This did the trick. I was buying a part for my other refrigerator and decided to replace the ice tray on my LG, as it was not emptying properly. When I found the part, I also saw a video attached to the ice dispenser parts. I had taped over the ice dispenser years ago and would just open the freezer for ice. Watched the video and they sure made it look easy to replace that flap, so I decided to give it a shot. I replaced the ice tray as soon as the parts came in, but did not have the time to tear off the front... Read more
Replace the front lower hinge riser cam on your refrigerator door. This plastic cam lifts the door when closing. Order a new part if broken or cracked.
The repair itself is pretty basic, remove broken parts and replace with new, but the process is much more challenging on the freezer door than on the fridge side since the water lines are routed through the hinge. This is definitely a two person job and you will be laying on the floor to do it. 1st thing is to turn the water off and remove the ice bucket. Remove top trim piece and release upper hinge assembly, support the door. The top hinge must rotate up to slip over the wiring bundle,... Read more
