Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking water pump worn out belt   Shane T. • Sauk City , WI • November 21, 2014

I replaced the worn parts. Removed the electric motor/pump assembly then took it to my motorcycle repair shop to clean/maintenance the motor, remove the old pump because it was stuck on the motor shaft. Once removed I blew out dust/debris from the motor w/compressed air. Sanded and filed the corrosion off the shaft, applied a "sealing grease" of sorts to the shaft to make potential future removal easier and reassembled. I took the whole wamma jamma home, reinstalled and wah-la, fixed. I am... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Tub was never balanced during spin   Joseph R. • East Brunswick , NJ • March 17, 2014

I replaced the friction ring, counter balance spring and all six of the tub rings. Though not a terribly difficult repair it was time consuming as the cabinet had to come completely off to access the rear of the tub. Once all of the springs were removed it was easy to slide the tub to the side, tip it and remove the old ring. Replacing it was just as easy. Replacing all the springs was made more difficult due to the additional tension the new springs had. I believe the total repair took me... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bearings were worn out makeing a lot of noise   Lawrence L. • Largo , FL • August 08, 2015

I had a lot of problems removing the spin hub, I had to use an air impact wrench to un screw it even then it was very hard, it did not go easy with the hammer & pipe wrench as shown in the video. It was also very hard to remove the bottom spin bearing I had to cut the bearing retainer with a dremel tool so I could get my puller on it. After I struggled to get it apart The repair went very easy, I used brake spring pliers to remove the springs it worked like a charm. I am very pleased with... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You No problem: i needed to drain the washer water into my dry california garden   Kathryn F. • San Diego , CA • May 10, 2015

Our dryer is next to an exterior wall and the washer right next to the dryer. I wanted to drain the washer water outside. I easily connected the existing washer drain hose with one of the two new drain hoses, attached the hoses in two locations to the wall with a 'U' bracket, drilled a hole in the outside wall, and ran the new hose outside. The planter I want to water is on the other side of a narrow walkway and about five feet from the house wall. At the end of the first drain hose, I... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking water from the pump anytime there was water in the washer tub   Alex B. • Stamford , CT • June 30, 2014

My wife found soapy water on the floor of the laundry room. I removed the front access cover on the washer and found water in the bottom of the washer and seeping our the drain holes. Running a rinse and spin cycle showed water leaking out of the pump all the time there was water in the tub. I ordered this pump and after watching a youtube video of someone else doing it had no trouble installing it. Problem fixed. You do need a torx head screw driver T20 or T25 to remove the pump from the motor. Read more
