I replaced the worn parts. Removed the electric motor/pump assembly then took it to my motorcycle repair shop to clean/maintenance the motor, remove the old pump because it was stuck on the motor shaft. Once removed I blew out dust/debris from the motor w/compressed air. Sanded and filed the corrosion off the shaft, applied a "sealing grease" of sorts to the shaft to make potential future removal easier and reassembled. I took the whole wamma jamma home, reinstalled and wah-la, fixed. I am... Read more

The washer friction ring sits between the transmission and agitator assembly, providing the necessary grip for proper agitation action. Signs of wear include excessive agitator movement, grinding noises during wash cycles, or clothes not getting properly cleaned due to inadequate agitation.
I replaced the friction ring, counter balance spring and all six of the tub rings. Though not a terribly difficult repair it was time consuming as the cabinet had to come completely off to access the rear of the tub. I easily connected the existing washer drain hose with one of the two new drain hoses, attached the hoses in two locations to the wall with a 'U' bracket, drilled a hole in the outside wall, and ran the new hose outside. The planter I want to water is on the other side of a narrow walkway and about five feet from the house wall. At the end of the first drain hose, I... Read more

Attaches directly to the motor.
My wife found soapy water on the floor of the laundry room. I removed the front access cover on the washer and found water in the bottom of the washer and seeping our the drain holes. Running a rinse and spin cycle showed water leaking out of the pump all the time there was water in the tub. I ordered this pump and after watching a youtube video of someone else doing it had no trouble installing it. Problem fixed. You do need a torx head screw driver T20 or T25 to remove the pump from the motor. Read more
Unplugged line cord. Removed two phillips screws close to bottom in front and lifted at 30º angle to release top clips on front panel, rotated it aside so as to not disturb door switch wires.
