First I removed the three screws thathold in the trim and thought that the piece would just pop out. I was wrong. I had to remove the front door cover in order to remove the trim piece. Once removed the new piece snapped right into place. Screwed the front panel back on, and then replaced the three screws that hold the trim piece in. Wax motor for detergent/rinse-aid dispenser.
Took door off, saw that dispenser linkage was ok, I could open and close by hand, so figured the wax motor or the wiring to it were most likely the problem. I took off the wax motor ( actuator) and ran 120 volts to it via jumper wires, and it did not move at all, so figured good chance that was the problem.
