Ice not dispensing or slow ice flow? This ice bucket and auger assembly stores and moves ice to your dispenser. Simple DIY install in 10-30 minutes.
I ordered a new bucket and auger combination--I didn't want to have to completely disassemble the mechanism to replace the rusted auger helix dispenser, so for about twice the cost of the auger alone I got the complete assembly. The product arrived in pristine condition less than 48 hours after I purchased it online. Plastic tubing that routes water through your refrigerator's system. Replace if cracked, brittle, kinked, or leaking to restore proper flow and prevent damage.
I replace the water inlet valve in my refrigerator about 8 months ago. About a week ago, the old plastic water line broke. I forgot how the water line connector worked and broke the valve trying to pull it out. I got a new valve and replacement water line, and it went in easily, just like the video said. Morals of the story: 1. Know how to remove the old plastic water line. I could have saved myself the price of a new valve if I'd remembered how the connector worked. Unless you have a really... Replacement 5/16-inch water tubing that connects the inlet valve to the icemaker. Replace when the original line becomes brittle, cracked, or kinked.
Had to cut the old line at the water storage tank and attach the new one using the connector fitting from the kit. The new line was run on the outside of the refrigerator to reach the solenoid valve on the opposite side. The is no route within the refrig other than under the compressor/motor. Not the best situation but I secured the line with cable clamps. Read more
