This solenoid saddle is a small mounting bracket that secures a refrigerator solenoid in the correct position. By preventing movement and misalignment, it helps the linked mechanism engage smoothly and consistently.

Ice crusher not working or slow crushed ice production? This helix front feeds ice to crushing blades. Moderate DIY repair—replace with auger for best results.
This was a very easy repair, the on-line video at AppliancePartsPros.com was helpful. The Helix was spinning freely (meaning, the Auger Blade was not holding it in place on the Auger). Pulling the assembly apart was a snap, and very logical (the video is perfect if you get lost). The family is now enjoying both crushed and cubed ice - and the redesign of the Auger Blade seems to prevent clogging in the ice shoot. Read more

I ordered a replacement auger from AppliancePartsPros.com. Upon receipt of the new auger, I watched the repair video and took the ice crusher apart. I found several other parts that needed to be replaced as well. Once All the parts were received, I again watched the video.
