I researched the problem and determined that the only thing that can cause this was compressor bad or not starting. I emptied door shelves and used plastic sheet to close off refrigerator. The repair was done with refrigerator running. I removed door and changed riser cam and shim. Then replaced door. It took maybe 45 minutes from start to finish. If I did the job again it would be completed in 30 minutes or less. The videos are informative. Thank You Read more

The ice dispenser door was not closing tightly. As a result, there was frost build up in the ice chute, which also was allowing ambient air and temperature into the freezer compartment. Swapped it out for new tube. Take 5 minutes and zero effort. The drain tube will clog with mold. You can clean it out but the tube will clog again despite's you best efforts as the tube wall provide a great habitat. Ordered new tubes to facilitate swap-outs. Old tubes can be cleaned but will recolonize quickly. Read more

This was a very easy repair, the on-line video at AppliancePartsPros.com was helpful. The Helix was spinning freely (meaning, the Auger Blade was not holding it in place on the Auger). Pulling the assembly apart was a snap, and very logical (the video is perfect if you get lost). The family is now enjoying both crushed and cubed ice - and the redesign of the Auger Blade seems to prevent clogging in the ice shoot. Read more
